Chadene Tremaglio, Ph.D

Principal Investigator

Dr. Tremaglio received her B.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut where she did undergraduate research on bacterial biofilm formation in the gut of the medicinal leech. She then did her Ph.D. in Microbiology at the Boston University School of Medicine, where she studied replication and transcription of respiratory syncytial virus. She completed a postdoc at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute working on a putative tumor suppressor in ovarian cancer, before working briefly as a freelance science writer, illustrator and podcast host. Dr. T joined the University of Saint Joseph in the Fall of 2020, and welcomed her first undergraduate researchers in the Fall of 2021. In her free time, she loves to play guitar and sing, read science fiction and fantasy novels, and hang out with her family and her cat.
